Mezcalada Moreliana

This smoky and spicy cocktail packs a punch with the bold flavors of mezcal, fresh pineapple juice, and sliced jalapeño. We've added a touch of sweetness with agave nectar and balanced the acidity with lime juice. And of course, no SalDeMiVida® cocktail would be complete without a sprinkle of our signature gourmet salt blend: our gaspacho picante flavor is the way to go. With a refreshing fizz from soda water and a stunning garnish of pineapple and jalapeno, this cocktail is a true showstopper. Serve it at your next party or enjoy it at home for a taste of Mexico in every sip.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz mezcal

  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple juice

  • 1/2 jalapeno pepper, sliced

  • 1/2 oz lime juice

  • 1/4 oz agave nectar

  • 1/2 tsp SalDeMiVida® (gaspacho picante recommended)

  • Soda water

  • Pineapple wedge and jalapeno slice for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Muddle the sliced jalapeno in the bottom of a cocktail shaker.

  2. Add mezcal, pineapple juice, lime juice, agave nectar, and SalDeMiVida to the shaker and fill with ice.

  3. Shake vigorously until well combined.

  4. Find a highball glass and add SalDeMiVida® salt to the rim.

  5. Fill up the glass with ice and strain the cocktail into the glass.

  6. Top with soda water.

  7. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a jalapeno slice.
